GE Profile™ Opal™ 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker - SideTank Accessory

We love our ice maker and host get togethers at our house a lot. Especially now with the pool and summer so the side tank accessory was a absolute must have for us! It compliments the machine perfectly and definitely makes things easier. I couldn’t imagine not having it! They belong together! If you like to entertain or have a larger family and invest in the machine do yourself a favor and make sure you get the side tank accessory! I absolutely recommend you make the investment! You will not be disappointed! If you don’t buy one you will be wishing you did.

With a family of four, guests and visitors, the side tank accessory is a must for our GE Profile Ice Maker. We're able to have a more constant flow of water for more ice without the worries of adding water to machine itself. By filling the tank, we're able to have ice at a more constant flow for our family and guests. By simply attaching a separate hose in the back and making that connection, I'm worry free in refilling the machine with water constantly. My family and I are thoroughly loving our GE Profile Opal setup in its entirety!

The opal side tank adds a gallon of water to the opal ice maker, allowing you to make more ice. An additional 96 ounces of water may be stored in the side tank. The side tanks detach easily for cleaning and are secured in place by a cradle attachment that glides underneath the main ice maker. With the additional tank, you can minimize the need for frequent water trips and ensure that you always have enough ice when you need it. The opal side tank is elegantly designed. I highly recommended it!

First, I love my opal Nugget Ice maker!!! Everyone that comes to our house loves it! Even people that did not know they needed a special appliance just for ice love it! That being said, the additional water side tank is a wonderful addition! If you go through a lot of ice or each person in your home uses the ice maker, you will definitely find it handy to have the side tank attached. Adding water is easy but why do it as often if you don't have to. As Mom, i find Im usually the one that gets stuck with the more daunting tasks around my home like adding water to the coffee maker or adding water to the ice maker or adding water to the purifier... I get tired of adding and the side tank gives me a little break! It is super easy to fill and it is even easier to attach. It comes with a little bracket that sits under the Ice maker itself and has a slot for the base of the side tank. This holds it in place and looks like it is made that way. You hook the hose marked "B" to the base of the side tank and then once you fill the tank you just flip it upside down and set it on the base and that's it! It couldn't be easier. I cant imagine not having it now that we have had it. 5 Stars, highly recommend!

No need to have a water line. Perfect for everyday use or parties. Perfect for cocktails, soft drinks or water. The ice produced is small enough and perfect size for kids cups and water bottles. Ideal if your like to chew on ice cubes.
