Refrigerator vegetable pan cover frame

the tray does not fit snugly on the sides and is going to crack again, it moves back and forth when pushing trays in and out, afraid to put anything with any weight on top if shelf. Poorly molded frame.

Our fridge is 14 years old and the bottom shelf cracked a year or two ago making it almost impossible to use the drawers. I was able to find the replacement shelf and it was the exact same as the one that came with the fridge, which was perfect. I was able to put the glass on it with no problems and the plastic drawers fit perfect also. The original shelf lasted 12 years so I am hoping the new one will do the same. The only issue was the shipping. We received the order confirmation email with a link to track the order, but that page never had any shipping information on it. It always said that the shipment was being prepared. It took a little over a week to get it, which is just fine. The just need a better tracking system for orders and shipments.

The rear 5 inches of plastic on the bottom shelf does not rest on a support, so if you put anything on it, it will crack from the weight and eventually crumble. I tried to use duct tape at the first signs of cracks but did not help. I have also had to replace all door supports and now my meat draw has cracked. I wish GE would replace for free or lower the price of these replacement parts since they need replacing every year or two. Do they even test the quality and design and workmanship of the products they mfg.?
