Attempting to install this kit now for a left side vent. What they don’t tell you is that the electrical harness is run and tie wrapped in the path of the left vent making it impossible to install without rerouting the wires. Even if you want to rest a hot exhaust pipe on the harness, which would be a bad idea, the pipe will sit at an angle and cannot be installed. GE has a video showing easy installation and even shows the duct being installed on the left side. They had to have encountered the wiring harness and moved it in order to slide the duct in straight, but the video and instructions make no mention of this. Aside from this, the small bracket with an adhesive strip does not stay in place. The force of securing the screw into the bracket will dislodge it. I had to use other material to secure it. You should also thread the screw into the bracket first to make it easier. It appears to be a self tapping machine screw, so it goes in very hard at first, making the chances of the bracket moving even higher. I needed this kit to fit my space, but not happy with the engineering and lack of disclosure in the instructions.
