I have purchased this toaster a couple years ago and put up with it because I don't want to create more garbage. It is slow and not consistent. The first two slices are usually too light while the next two are usually almost burnt with the same setting. I start on 2 and reheat for about one minute or longer. It has as much control as a campfire toaster.

I love the sensitivity of the toasting gauge - just a touch can make a difference - like the design.

It does a good job toasting bread and bagels and I like the alarm when the toast is done.

I like this toaster, EXCEPT how it burns everything

We have had this toaster for several months. Since it burns everything on the lowest setting, I have to try to remember to manually pop out the bread before it is over burnt. Since I don't always time it right, I end up throwing away the bread or scraping off all the blackened bread and putting in another with a kitchen timer. I will admit it does toast very evenly. I do love the way it looks. I like how wide the slots are. And the lifter helps the bread out well. So great design, except for the heat settings.

First one did not work was replaced right away by Kitchen Aid this one works just fine.
