GE® 30" Slide-In Front Control Gas Range

Just got the product I haven’t used it yet but it looks nice

I decided to switch from electric to gas…I love the stovetop feature! I love how much quicker things are prepared vs electric. So so glad I switched. My only complaint is that I had a convection oven before this and I am struggling to not have the bottoms of my biscuits and cookies burn in the oven. This is just a learning curve so I only gave it 4 stars vs 5. Once I fully adapt, this will most likely be a 5 star product!

I was disappointed that the surface is easily scratched by the grills. They must be replaced very carefully. I dislike the gas smell when I start the oven. The front left burner is hard to turn on. Oven does bake and roast very well. Some insulation came out of the top vent.

For the price, the oven is disappointing. The stainless-steel control panel and drawer are very thin and appear subject to easy denting. The drawer front is chintzy looking and feeling. The plastic covering the display seems flimsy and far from durable. After the first use of the cook top, my attempt at cleaning up some minor grease spots on the plastic cover with a dampened cloth resulted in permanent scratches to the plastic covering. Does not bode well for long-term service. The two large "power boiler" burners are both towards the front of the unit, and even on lowest setting, put out far too much heat for most "normal" uses. I find myself using the back burners, particularly the smaller of the two, for most of my cooking. My previous GE Profile oven lasted 27 years before the digital oven controls died. I don't expect that service out of the new one. The new one did fit perfectly my existing 30" cut out, but the unit projects almost an inch further into the room than the old one.

I feel in love with this gas range. This is exactly what we have been looking for. It is very easy to use. Very sleek look. Gives the perfect look to our kitchen.
